Revitalising a tired brand
Old Swinford Hospital is an exceptional state boarding school that boasts a heritage dating back to 1667. Unfortunately, the brand had become tired and ill-suited for digital applications, so a refreshed look was developed that shortened the name to avoid confusion and prioritise clarity.
Defining the brand essence
To bring the school’s story to life in an engaging way, a fresh campaign approach was developed. ‘Discover who you can be’ centred on the school’s innate ability to help pupils unearth the passion that will inspire their journey in life. In combination with a bold new visual language, a confident brand narrative emerged that would form the bedrock of future marketing activity.
Demonstrating a unique approach
To inspire prospective parents and pupils, a series of memorable and evocative portraits were created that intricately weaved opportunity, talent and personality into each frame, telling the school’s stories through its pupils. This unique approach gave OSH its own distinctive identity that separated it from its competitors.
An emotive promotional video followed the same theme, portraying a day in the life of the school through the eyes of its pupils and their individual achievements. This became an integral tool in the school’s marketing, appearing prominently in their digital profile.
Through our work for OSH, we created the benchmark to which other schools have since aspired in their marketing approach.
